SPICE Assessment Tools

Five core applications are ‘always on’ and at the heart of the SPICE Framework eco-system.  Amongst these are the SPICE Assessment Tools.  Built as an iterative behavioural assessment with Huddersfield University, the tools assess and track traits across 16 indicators.

Description

Developed in collaboration with Huddersfield University, the SPICE Assessment is designed as an ‘iterative behavioural assessment’ and reports on 16 factors influencing perception, decision-making and performance.  These are grouped in four broad categories:

  • Perception of Challenges
  • The balanced between a preference of creating outputs (KPIs) and outcomes (independent/creative actions)
  • The balance between a preference for improvement or innovation processes in businesses
  • The relationship between four emphases in decision-making

The assessment takes between 5 and 10 minutes to complete and generates a report based on the 16 factors that comprises an easily understood infographic, together with text based reports suggesting potential for development.

Unlike typical assessment tools found elsewhere, users can access the SPICE Assessment Tools as often as they like and use them for ongoing development and coaching for individuals, teams and whole businesses.  The structure of the infographic is also closely aligned to those in the SPICE Questioning Tools, enabling a convenient link between assessment and evaluation which, in turn provides important data when seeking to understand the ongoing contribution of people to performance.
